Lastly, my group and I experimented with combining every method we'd come up with in several iterations. Both of these designs have strategically placed cuts, pegs, and floss to deform the plastic in a controlled way. In these designs, we avoided tying the floss to the pegs by instead taping the floss to the edges of the thermoforming machine so that the floss connected in interesting and intentional shapes.
